Expect Comfortable, Quality Dental Visits
Patient care and comfort is our top priority. We carefully plan out our appointments to ensure that every patient gets plenty of time with Dr. Rasmussen to discuss their concerns and expectations.
Please expect to spend approximately 1 hour during your first visit. Your first appointment is typically spent reviewing your concerns with the doctor and obtaining diagnostic information, including pictures and necessary three dimensional radiography. This diagnostic information will be used to construct a comprehensive treatment plan specific to you. Corresponding fees and financial plans will also be reviewed.
To save time for our patients, we make it our goal to complete both the exam and consult within your first visit. For patients with a more demanding treatment plan, a consultation may be scheduled at a later time. The consultation allows Dr. Rasmussen to communicate with your referring dentist and maintain full transparency with his patients in the form of education.
The best doctor is a well-informed one. And that’s why we will be continually communicating with your general dentist to stay connected with each other’s treatment recommendations.
Please be prepared to pay a fee for the initial examination and consultation.
More information about payment and financial plans can be found in our Financial Information page. Patients can facilitate the process of their first visit by providing the following information:
• Your referral slip and x-rays from your referring dentist
• A list of medications you are currently taking
• If you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards with you to the appointment
If your referring dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they are forwarded to our office.
Please notify the office if you have a medical condition that requires antibiotic premedication prior to dental appointments, such as an artificial heart valve, a history of infective endocarditis, or joint replacement. This premedication should be taken prior to your first appointment if instructed by your physician.
Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment at (813) 502-1301.
