Excellent periodontal care should never be hindered by financial concerns. Without proper treatment periodontal disease will progress, leading to more serious health concerns and the need for more invasive procedures. At Rasmussen Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we believe finances should not be an obstacle to receiving the very best care. We offer several financial options to fit the needs of our patients.

Initial Examination

Welcome to our practice!
We are grateful for the opportunity to assist in your comprehensive care. During your initial examination Dr. Rasmussen will get to know you on a more personal level and important diagnostic information will be collected. From this information, Dr. Rasmussen will develop a treatment plan tailored to your dental needs. Occasionally, Dr. Rasmussen will ask you to return for a complimentary second consultation visit so that he can communicate with your referring dentist and better educate you on your recommended treatment.
Your time is very important to us. Prior to your initial appointment, digital forms will be emailed or texted to you. At Rasmussen Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we expect your wait to be less than five minutes, irrelevant of how busy we are.

Payment Options and Billing

Payment in full is expected at the time of service unless prior financial arrangements have been made.
We gladly accept: Cash, Checks, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

We have partnered with three companies: CareCredit, Proceed Finance and Wells Fargo Health Advantage, who offer low monthly payments for patients who prefer to finance their dental treatment. The application and approval process can be completed within minutes online. The process can be expedited in office with one of our patient concierges. Options provided by these companies include low-interest financing to make larger expenses fit more easily into your monthly budget.

Saving you Money on Specialized Treatment

Insurance

At Rasmussen Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we gladly work with your dental insurance plan to make your treatment more affordable. Our friendly team has in-depth knowledge of dental insurance and can help you maximize your insurance benefits.

For those insurance plans that we are participating providers or in-network for, we work hand-in-hand with you to obtain reimbursement for covered procedures. For those plans that we are not in-network for, we do the same to help you get reimbursed as much as possible under your dental benefits.Since there will be no direct relationship between Rasmussen Periodontics and your insurance company, patients are fully responsible for all fees charged. Your insurance company is then responsible to you. Your insurance benefits are determined by the type of plan chosen and while it is patient responsibility to understand insurance policies, we often work with you to help you understand the benefits and options provided. Rasmussen Periodontics can submit claims to your insurance company for procedures if required. And should your insurance company require additional information to process your claim, we can assist with that as well.
Overall, dental insurance is primarily focused on avoiding problems through preventative care, such as checkups and cleanings.
Because many of our patients come to us because they need specialized care, chances are high that your dental insurance plan will only partially cover the cost of your necessary procedure. Our team will do everything we can to save you as much as possible.

Our treatment plans begin through a careful analysis of your medical and dental history and patient priorities. A finalized plan is then created based on our professional training, proficiency, and experience and tailored to fit your needs. All treatment plans are constructed regardless of the involvement of insurance. Insurance companies pay on dental services based on premiums, contracts, and exclusions. These decisions have nothing to do with the quality of dental care and are no indicators of the value of the treatment.

Patients are responsible for the payment of emergency visits, examinations, and any treatment or maintenance provided on visits. Rasmussen Periodontics will submit your insurance claim so that they may reimburse you for these procedures. Prior to treatment, we will attempt to contact your insurance company to determine your benefits and what your insurance is estimated to cover. In many cases, insurance companies will not provide fees until after treatment and therefore any amount indicated is only an estimate of benefits and not a guarantee until after payment. Patients are liable for payment of the balance not covered by your primary insurance at the time of treatment. All financial arrangements and payment plans for the patient’s portion of the fee must be agreed prior to treatment. After 60 days, any unpaid balance not covered by your insurance company (including delays in insurance company payment/processing) will be billed to you and payment expected at that time.
